Canada's casino hotels: straight-talking reviews and our 2026 top 10

Think of this as a stay planner for Canada's casino resorts. For every hotel we ask what you'd ask at the front desk — how good is the room, how big is the floor, where do I eat, who's playing tonight, is the pool open, how do I get here — and answer only from the hotel's own pages or a source we name, stamped with the date we last checked.

Common questions

Which Canadian casino hotel scores highest with you?

Our scoring puts Fallsview Casino Resort first. In one Niagara Falls building it has 372 rooms oriented to the falls, upward of 3,200 slot machines and 110 tables, a 5,000-seat stage (the OLG Stage) and more than 20 restaurants.

What's the newest casino hotel in the country?

That title belongs to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa (150 rooms), which welcomed its first guests on July 3, 2025. The previous newcomer was Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, whose hotel opened August 1, 2023.

At what age can you enter a Canadian casino?

Provinces set it: 19 in Ontario, British Columbia, New Brunswick and most others; 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Québec.

Can families book a casino hotel?

Mostly yes, because age limits apply to the gaming floor and some bars or venues. The big exception: at Hard Rock Ottawa nobody under 19 may enter, hotel included.
