Casino New Brunswick: our review
Last updated · facts verified
Moncton's Casino New Brunswick dates from 2010. Its 126 rooms start at a generous 440 sq ft, with opening windows and views of the city or the mountain. Pool, concert venue, free parking, pets accepted, Magnetic Hill and Hopewell Rocks within a day trip — this is the casino hotel for Atlantic Canada.
Good for: Maritime road trips with the dog, near Hopewell Rocks and Magnetic Hill.
Think twice if: Room service and plenty of restaurant choice are must-haves.
The short version
Since 2010 Moncton has had its casino, hotel and entertainment centre bundled into one complex, today run by Great Canadian Entertainment. For anyone touring the Maritimes, it's the casino hotel worth knowing.
Sleeping
Casino hotels rarely give you this much floor space. Deluxe King rooms start at 440 sq ft and Deluxe Two Queen at 490, each with a city or mountain outlook, high ceilings, opening windows, 300-thread-count sheets and a walk-in shower. Suites run from the Studio (590 sq ft) to the Luxury (795 sq ft), and on the fifth floor the Marquis Suite has a private balcony and two bathrooms.
Minimum age to book or check in: 19. Children can stay but can't enter 19+ areas. Check-in 4 p.m., check-out 11 a.m. No room service at present.
Gaming
The table line-up covers blackjack, baccarat, I Luv Suits, craps and roulette. Poker players get a private room, "the Lighthouse", on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, and the slot floor took in fresh titles in December 2025 and again in March 2026. Joining the Rewards Club is free; members pay less at the buffet and gift shop.
Eating, drinking and shows
Options are few. The Buffet opens Wednesday to Saturday — Thursday is Ribs & Wings, Friday is AA Prime Rib, and members save a few dollars. The Hub City Pub sits on the casino floor. Both are 19+. Concerts happen at the Molson Canadian Centre, on site.
Downtime and pets
Pool and gym: yes, with supervision required for under-12s. Pets: up to two cats or dogs, 50 lb each at most, $40 a night — but they can't go into the pool, gym or restaurants. Parking: free; give your car's make, model and plate number at check-in.
Around Moncton
Ask at the desk and you'll be pointed to Magnetic Hill (zoo included), Tidal Bore Park, TreeGO and the Capitol Theatre. Further afield, Hopewell Rocks on the Bay of Fundy makes a good day out.
Our call
Spacious rooms, a pool and a welcome for pets make it an ideal road-trip overnight. Just plan to eat out in town at least once.
