Book the falls view; the casino is downstairs
Niagara's big one, and our first choice. Plan on 372 rooms built around the view, a 200,000-sq-ft floor below them, two stages (5,000 seats and 1,559) and more than 20 places to eat. No other Canadian casino resort puts a waterfall outside the window at this size.

The short version
At Fallsview the room is the draw, not an afterthought. All 372 rooms and suites were designed, the resort says, around what lies outside: Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls, the city skyline, or a mix. Downstairs sit roughly 200,000 sq ft of gaming (3,200-plus slots, 110 tables), a pair of theatres and upward of 20 restaurants. Arrive Friday, leave Sunday, never touch the car keys.
Sleeping
Deluxe rooms: pick a bed (a king, two queens or two doubles), then pick what the window shows: the city, the American Falls, or Horseshoe Falls. Inside: a sitting corner and desk, coffee maker, in-room safe, iron, hairdryer. Fine print worth reading: the resort's FAQ concedes that a falls room may show one cascade rather than two. Paying for the view? Name the category precisely and get it confirmed.
Above that, five tiers of suite. Diplomat: follows the curve of the tower, whirlpool tub, a sweep of falls or city. Parlour: faces the American Falls; second TV; sofa that folds out. Executive: partial falls view, bedroom behind its own door. Ambassador, Premier: bedroom behind a door, falls in view; the Premier adds a dining area, a proper living room and the biggest bathroom of the lot.
Clock: rooms at 16:00, out by 11:00; room service 07:00–11:00 and 18:00–23:00.
Gaming
Bring ID; the floor is 19+, and babes in arms and strollers are turned away. Drinks on the floor at Infinity Bar, 09:00 to 01:50. Loyalty runs on Momentum, Mohegan's programme, which climbs from the free Core level through Ignite, Leap and Ascend to Soar. For drivers the level that matters is Ignite: from there up, casino parking costs nothing; below it, you pay the resort's daily rate.
On stage
Shows are Fallsview's trump card. OLG Stage: five thousand seats, and the back row is only 150 feet from the performers. The resort cites Billboard placing it first in Canada among rooms of 2,501–5,000 seats. The Avalon is the cosier room — 1,559 seats, all within a hundred feet of the stage. Between them they're marketed at 320-plus shows a year. Coming in December? Going in December? Per Niagara Falls Tourism, Christmas On Ice plays, 14th season, 32 performances in the Avalon between 26 November and 20 December 2026.
Eating and drinking
Reserve ahead for the two with OpenTable's 2026 "Top 50 Hotel Restaurants" badge: Ponte Vecchio (Italian) and the flagship, 21 Club Steak & Seafood. Walk-in options: The Falls Deli; Bar Barista (coffee by day, cocktails later); sushi and oysters at their own bar; Cantonese at Golden Lotus; a Noodle Bar. In the Galleria: Shoeless Joe's, Vittorio's, a taproom from Niagara Brewing Company, Lucky's and Paramount Fine Foods. Missing for now: a buffet (none operating) and Dragonfly, the nightclub shutting after close to two decades; a replacement concept is promised but unnamed.
Downtime
Pool: indoor, 7 a.m.–10 p.m., daily key required, under-12s only with a parent. Gym: 7 a.m.–9 p.m. Spa: Damara Day Spa, where a tourism ticket listing priced a relaxation massage at $158.
Getting there
Distances, per the resort: Toronto 90 minutes, Buffalo 45; Pearson sits roughly 125 km away. Car-free route: weekend or holiday GO train out of Union Station to Niagara Falls. Then ride the free Casino Niagara loop: half-hourly from 4 p.m. until 12:45 a.m., Friday to Sunday and whenever the OLG Stage has a show. Driving an EV? Ten chargers: six on P5, four on P1, in a garage for 3,000-plus cars. Pets: certified service animals only.
Our call
Doing just one Canadian casino hotel? Do this one — and spend the money on the outlook, not merely the bed. Lock in a falls-facing category, plan the dates around who's on stage, and drivers should sign up to Momentum first: parking is where the bill quietly grows.

Before you book
- Will my Fallsview room face the falls?
- Not automatically. You pick a category — city side, American Falls side or Horseshoe Falls side — and the resort's FAQ admits some falls rooms see one cascade only. Name the view when booking and get it confirmed.
- Fallsview buffet — open or not?
- Not open. The dining page states plainly that no buffet is running for now.
- Fallsview with children: yes or no?
- Yes. Only the casino is off limits (19+). Under-12s need a parent beside them at the pool.
