Gaming: bingo; live tables every day from 5:30 p.m. until 3 a.m.; around twelve hundred slot machines, some progressive, some electronic table games. Manitoba age: 18. Comedy and concerts go to the Club Regent Event Centre, opened 2014, which holds thirteen hundred. Inside the hotel, Playmaker's Gaming Lounge offers VLTs 9 a.m.–midnight.
Eating and drinking
Aaltos runs themed dinner buffets Thursday–Sunday, 5–8 p.m. — nights are themed: turkey, roast beef, surf and turf, chicken with ribs — plus Sunday brunch (10:00–14:00). The casino lounge is called Toukies; an ice-cream shop and a McDonald's complete the list.
Practicalities
Parking in the casino parkade: free. Airport: about 15 km, roughly 25 minutes. Per AAA: rooms from 16:00, out by 11:00, no animals. Booking tip: ask for Stay & Play — each Club Card member gets $15 of free play.
Our call
Book it for a show next door or a night of bingo and slots, and expect a functional room, not a resort. Without resort facilities it can't quite crack our top ten — it finishes 11th.
