The short version
Since 2010 Moncton has had its casino, hotel and entertainment centre bundled into one complex, today run by Great Canadian Entertainment. For anyone touring the Maritimes, it's the casino hotel worth knowing.
Sleeping
Casino hotels rarely give you this much floor space. Sizes: a Deluxe Two Queen from 490 sq ft, a Deluxe King from 440. Expect windows you can open, tall ceilings, a walk-in shower, 300-thread-count linen, and either the mountain or the city outside. Suites go from 590 sq ft (Studio) to 795 (Luxury); the fifth-floor Marquis Suite adds two bathrooms and a balcony of its own.
Minimum age to book or check in: 19. Kids are fine as room-mates; 19+ areas are out. Check-in 4 p.m., check-out 11 a.m. No room service at present.
Gaming
Tables: roulette, craps, I Luv Suits, baccarat, blackjack. Poker runs Thursday to Saturday evenings in a private room called "the Lighthouse"; new slot titles arrived in December 2025 and March 2026. Joining the Rewards Club is free; members pay less at the buffet and gift shop.
Food, bars, stage
Options are few. Plan dinner around The Buffet, Wednesday to Saturday: Friday AA Prime Rib, Thursday Ribs & Wings, a small discount for members. On the casino floor itself: the Hub City Pub. Both are 19+. Concerts happen at the Molson Canadian Centre, on site.
Downtime and pets
Pool and gym: yes, with supervision required for under-12s. Travelling with animals: $40 a night per room for one or two cats or dogs, each under 50 lb; they stay out of the restaurants, gym and pool. Free parking — have the plate, make and model ready at the desk.
Around Moncton
Local list from the front desk: the Capitol Theatre, TreeGO, Tidal Bore Park, and Magnetic Hill with its zoo. Keep one whole day for the Bay of Fundy and the Hopewell Rocks.
Our call
Spacious rooms, a pool and a welcome for pets make it an ideal road-trip overnight. Just plan to eat out in town at least once.
